I don’t usually get aroused immediately by a toy, but the Oliver James Large Wand Massager got me going right away. The large wand is large, nearly a foot long, making it oddly so comfortable to use. At first, I thought it looked a little gimmicky. It’s long, the handle is coated in shiny plastic, and it’s just so big it’s almost cartoonish. However, the neck is flexible, the silicone on the head is divine, and the vibrations are so strong I could feel them through my pants. The longer, curved handle on this model allows you to hold with your palm facing any direction, making the device super easy on your wrist - which is usually the first point of discomfort for me. I also found it super easy to use, from the buttons to the toy's ability to massage such a large area. I also used it to massage out shin splints and tight calves from running - something I’ve never considered doing - but it totally worked. This is truly a full-body massager.

Oh. My. God. 😮‍💨 This thing is powerful. You're working with a big wand, so you're going to get big power. Not to say that this toy is perfect, but it's definitely one of my favorites. If you get this toy, you're definitely going to have a fun time. The toy excels at just hammering away at you. It's a great bit of fun that I don't get tired of. If I wanted to speak Morse Code, I’d buy a Ham radio, not a vibrator. Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautifully designed, high-quality vibrating wand. However, I have a very specific personal issue with this toy. The wand has 20 patterns, and while I appreciate that each pattern is nuanced and probably appeals to users who have been looking for that specific “dot dot dash” vibration, I could have done without 18 of them. For me, the first and eighteenth vibration patterns are the ones I want. And I’d love to be able to start with one, go to the other, and go back and forth until I’m tired. But I can’t do that with the Ava VIVVO Wand because I have to cycle through all the patterns to find the right one. And because they’re all so similar, I easily miss the one I’m looking for and have to cycle through all 20 again. This probably sounds so petty, but when you need that little shift in vibration, you don’t want to click through 17 that are just “meh.” I think this part of the design is bothersome enough to ruin the toy entirely.
